Toys for Tots
Toys for Tots is a US Marine Corps Program that collects new, unwrapped toys to give to needy children during the holiday season. The program sends a message of hope to the less fortunate children. NG DECA manages the Toy for Tots campaign for North Gwinnett High School, cluster schools, and even the North Gwinnett community (local businesses, parades, and events). Members help manage and facilitate the month long project throughout the school and community. Members earn community service hours/points while helping this great cause! In addition, members are given the opportunity to work with local businesses and administrators of other schools.
DECA Week (October 11 – 15)
A week full of activities to recognize our active DECA members and supportive teachers and staff.
T-Shirt Day Members wearing the official NG DECA chapter t-shirt will receive a free cookie during their lunch.
Dress for Success Members who wear a professional business attire to school will receive free pizza during their lunch.
Cotton Candy All students, teachers, and staff at North Gwinnett High School will receive free cotton candy.
Fundraising
With a chapter of our size and the plethora of activities we take part in, fundraising is neccesary to keep our chapter financially stable. Our members are strongly encouraged to take part in our cheesecake fundraiser at the beginning of each school year. With the help of Ashley Farms Inc. we are able to put together a spectacular fundraiser in which donars not only get the satifisfaction of giving back to DECA, but also get to indulge in some of the most delicious cheesecakes, cookie doughs, and even pies! You can call this the ultimate dessert fundraiser! Members are not only helping the chapter raise funds, but they are also earning points toward their honor chord or letter.
